ARTICLE: Find your car's date of manufacture (VIN)

Hi Wildon, I need help with this VIN number for a Volkswagen Vento - wvwc11608bt044787.

I could decode that its manufactured in March 2011.

Hi Wildon,

There is a typo in the Volkswagen VIN post #9 in this thread.

In the "Decode" paragraph it correctly states that 10th char is the Model Year but in the "Example" paragraph there is a typo when it says "If your 12th VIN...".

Refer here.Model Year

In your case even though the production date is mentioned as 11.11.2011, your vehicles manufacturing Month/Year in the RC Book/ Smart Card will be entered as October 2011 Manufactured.
