Seeking your advice on whether it makes sense to buy a car Manufactured in December (with no additional discounts being offered)? I am thinking from the perspective of whether it will impact the resale value. Is even november date of manufacturing ok?

With the long lead times for delivery and uncertainty due to covid, i am worried if the delays cause it to slip into december, would it be alright to still take the delivery?

I wouldn't recommend getting a 2020 car if you're simply looking at it from the point of resale. Any car which has an older production date will definitely have lower resale value. But, if you're going to keep your car for long, I'll tell you to skip the wait and go ahead with a 2020 (but, with heavy discounts).

Just wanted to confirm on this. I did a PDI yesterday and everything seems in order. On the etis site, it doesn't give build info any longer, but one of the sections - "PTI related Electronic Control Units Installed on this VIN" has the 'last checked' date as 09-04-2021. Can we safely assume that this is means that the car was in fact manufactured in April-21.

The section has a list of all the various ECUs installed.

Thank you so much. It has been a long struggle to get the car from dealership. I wanted to know if remote engine start stop and soft paint finish is there or not. Since this looks like freshly baked, it must be having those. :)

Not able to decode the data for the paint as you asked for. Since the remote start is there, I presume the paint part may be there in the car too. Please do update once you get the delivery.
