thanks Anurag, Color expected is Starry Night, as per booking and dealer communications, other information is correct. vehicle has arrived in yards but can not do PDI or RTO due to Maha lockdown.
Hi Experts,
Seeking your advice on whether it makes sense to buy a car Manufactured in December (with no additional discounts being offered)? I am thinking from the perspective of whether it will impact the resale value. Is even november date of manufacturing ok?
With the long lead times for delivery and uncertainty due to covid, i am worried if the delays cause it to slip into december, would it be alright to still take the delivery?
(Mods, kindly move it to appropriate thread if this is not the right forum)

Hi Experts, |
I wouldn't recommend getting a 2020 car if you're simply looking at it from the point of resale. Any car which has an older production date will definitely have lower resale value. But, if you're going to keep your car for long, I'll tell you to skip the wait and go ahead with a 2020 (but, with heavy discounts).

Thanks akash_v12. Just to clarify, i was asking about getting delivery in Nov/Dec 2021 as the waiting time quoted is 4-6months if i book now.
Hi guys,
Really appreciate how the community is helping each other here. I've booked XUV500 and the SA shared the following VIN for it.
VIN: MA1YU2XDUM6D10039
In my amateur parsing of it using
https://www.team-bhp.com/advice/find...facture-vin#p4 , I think it is a 2021 April manufactured vehicle. Is there anything else we can get from the VIN? Thanks in advance.
(And this happens to be my first post on the forum :). I hope I can share more in future about the vehicle)

Wow. Kudos to your effort in helping so many members. I received mine today as MALPC812TMM186489. Can you please help in decoding the production month. As Creta got some additional features recently, I want to know if I will get them or not.

Congratulations in advance sir. :)
Do let me know if you want anything specific. I'll check the same if those features are available in the car allotted to you.

Got the VIN No. for our Ecosport. Based on the decoder it seems to be an April 2021 manufactured car. The SA though claimed that the Ford VIN no. also includes the engine number, I didn't quite understand that part. Could someone confirm? Thanks in advance.
VIN: MAJAXXMRKAMP21862 |
Hi All,
Just wanted to confirm on this. I did a PDI yesterday and everything seems in order. On the etis site, it doesn't give build info any longer, but one of the sections -
"PTI related Electronic Control Units Installed on this VIN" has the 'last checked' date as 09-04-2021. Can we safely assume that this is means that the car was in fact manufactured in April-21.
The section has a list of all the various ECUs installed.
Do let me know, thanks.

Thank you so much. It has been a long struggle to get the car from dealership. I wanted to know if remote engine start stop and soft paint finish is there or not. Since this looks like freshly baked, it must be having those. :)

This is what is mentioned, so I presume this is available.

Not able to decode the data for the paint as you asked for. Since the remote start is there, I presume the paint part may be there in the car too. Please do update once you get the delivery.
Hi All,
I have been allotted VX CVT Honda City by dealer today.
VIN No is - MAKGN264EM4001319 - it appears to be May 2021 production itself. Can one of the experts here confirm this? I am confused as Sales Manager had said it will mostly be a April 2021 production.
