VIN No for Volkswagen Vento is: MEXE16608GT087546

From what i understand - this indicates a May 2016 manufactured vehicle: E indicating May and 16 indicating 2016.
Is it correct?

If i am in your place, i would never accept the vehicle.
However, if you are ok with the vehicle, why don't you negotiate and ask the dealer to give you a substantial discount for accepting a 2015 manufactured vehicle !

Guys, I complained to Navnit Motors saying that there is lack of transparency in the system since they tried to sell me a November, 2015 manufactured car last week. I wrote official emails to the sales executive and manager Mr. Kamath at Navnit, Bangalore saying that i will not accept a 7 months old car and that I need a car that is manufactured atleast in the last 3 months. Yes,VIN and chassis number is same and is 17 digit.
Engine number is different.

Also Sales guy may only have last 6 digits of chassis number.

11th character - G (2016)
12th character - D (July)

Can someone confirm if above is correct?
