Kuwait Concours d' Elegance Report

Kuwait hosted a Concours d' Elegance for the first time in the gulf region from 20/01/2010 to 23/01/2010 .Noted international judges like Leonardo Fioravanti (Head Jugde from Italy) ,Hideo Kodama,Ken Okuyama (Both Japan), Paul Goldsmith (President of Tokyo Concours d' Elegance) Eberhard Kittler (Germany), Jacques Braneyre (France) and Chris Bangle (USA) were the judges.Along with this there were competitions for Muscle Cars, Custom Bikes and Sports Cars.Overall a great show , a real treat for the vintage car lovers . A real treat for all Team BHPians .Cheers

WOW a Tucker Torpedo in the last pic! I wonder if one exists/ever existed in India?

No, never. Almost all are accounted for, even the destroyed ones.
I do not believe that all were Kuwait based cars, there were registrations of other countries.

The maroon coloured Bentley is the R-Type continental (typically with bodywork by HJ Mulliner). One of 208 produced in 4 years (1951-55) the car was the most expensive in its day at GBP 7300 (about GBP 300,000) in current day terms

Nice cars, the gullwing and the convertible 300 SL are really nice. The RR and Bentleys are well done too.

Almost all the cars are completely immaculate. That Packard is a treat to look at.

That Maroon Bentley is most definitely not a R Type Continental. Please look at the picture carefully and see the rear windows etc.

Great cars. Do post more pics if possible. Do they have an official website where details on this event can be found.

The Delage cars are simply stunning so is that Packard and the Chrysler woodie.

The muscle cars are totally breathtaking. They seem to have all the important muscle cars covered at that event.
