Re: Service Assist - Managed car servicing from WheelsWisdom.com (Bangalore)

I had been giving my Old Santro to WW for service since 5-6 years. I was about to call WW to book one more as the car has developed steering noise but came across this thread today. I was planning to get my second car (German) serviced by WW once the free service period is over. Wish you had continued. Appreciate your decision. A person with passion can only continue to run a business that's not profitable for 9 years. Wish you best of luck in future endeavors.

Re: Service Assist - Managed car servicing from WheelsWisdom.com (Bangalore)

This is indeed a sad news. I opened ww last week, saw the note that the operations have been paused, and immediately knew something was off. I have been a customer for many years and have spoken to Sandeep and his team multiple times - for car servicing and used car inspection. Its difficult to think of a time when I don't have a trustable partner like ww for maintaining the cars.

Having said that, truly respect your decision Sandeep. Times change, we change and our interests evolve. We have limited time to try everything that we want to. Wish you all the best in whatever next you do!

To the entire Wheels Wisdom team: your commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction was always truly outstanding, and will be sorely missed. I am just sad that the market didn't evolve as fast to make this a more lucrative & profitable model.

Re: Service Assist - Managed car servicing from WheelsWisdom.com (Bangalore)

It is sad news. I visited the website to book a service and then came to know that operations have been stopped.

What other options do we have in Bangalore for a reliable managed car service? Has anybody tried Acko Drive Car Service?

Saddened to hear this, though I can appreciate the clear reasons why.

On a personal basis I'll also miss WW due to the fact that I had another 4 months of membership in my annual coverage which I cannot avail anymore!

Would have eased the surprise if there was any communication to active customers.

My team has actively reached out to annual members who had more than 1 month of unutilized Annual Membership remaining, and processed their refunds. Since this was a manual process, it is possible that they may have missed yours. Could you please reply to any email from Support, requesting for a refund of your unutilized Annual Membership, so that this can be taken care of?

If any other member on the forum too has unutilized Annual Membership, and has been missed out, just drop an email to Support. We're processing refunds on the same day.

Thanks.

Sad to see this service go away. I've used them in the past and have been thoroughly impressed. I was planning to book them this month and seems am late. It will be good if the WW technicians can support team-bhp members for few months till we find alternate options in Bangalore.

Thank you! We've dropped an email. I do have to say that I'll be missing the comfort, reliability, expertise and ease of use that I had with Wheels Wisdom much more than any refund!

I haven't been to either the service enterprise or known about it before but what I've observed here is each person commenting here will have one unanimous thought; "No, please don't shut down!" However, in hindsight, I think the beauty of this community is such that the very next sentence is, "But I empathise with your personal needs and am happy for you." Not everywhere does one see such unconditional support and appreciation from peers. Just wholesome!

No one (I spoke to) has the appetite to buy a reputed brand like Wheels Wisdom, because they do not find our attention to detail either executable or scalable. It is incredibly tough to execute what we executed for even a year, leave alone for 9 long years. If there was someone who could actually scale what we've built, it was Wheels Wisdom. Because you not only need the capability, but also the conviction that your model is the right model. But then, I no longer have interest in this space. While my customers are delighted with our service, I am no longer delighted being in this business. I believe it should work both ways .
Applaudable decision of yours not to just sell the WW. It is inspiring to see someone who stood for his ethos instead of profits. You are a man of credible character.

While you could have easily made the money out of it, it's so brave of you not to let the principles and craftsmanship of WW dilute by selling it.

My paternal uncle along with his partner, started a fuel pump. The venture didn't turn out to be profitable and he sold it. Now, the new owner prioritises profit over everything else. Does meter tempering, short fueling, adulteration, filling high octane fuel without permission etc. Regardless the change of ownership, people believe the fuel pump has always been like this. It has earned my uncle a bad name.

I am happy that you have spared yourself from this probable disesteem. It's better to hear that 'WW was a great workshop' instead of 'WW used to be great, now not anymore' - this fall in reputation is heart wrecking.

Lastly, you weren't enjoying it anymore. This reason alone is enough to shut it down.

As I read somewhere: It is better to leave when everyone asks why, instead of when.

Wishing you all the best for your future.

Sorry to hear about the bad reputation your uncle had to bear.
