Adding an entry for the 3M store on Sarjapur road.

My usual 3M store for car wash, detailing, sun film and wrap was the HSR layout store. Having been a customer there from the time it opened, I was satisfied with the work.

Recently hands changed and under the new owner, they opened another branch on Sarjapur road. This was extremely convenient as it meant I have a 3M store 100 metres from my house.

I tried it out a few weeks back with the usual foam wash package and happy to say wash quality is the same. Didn't try any detailing for now as car had just come back from a repaint of 2 panels.

What I liked:
- It's right next door to my house!
- Reasonable place to park outside
- Unlike some of the smaller 3M stores, they have a full fledged wash.
- Customer lounge where you can see the car up close (except when in the wash)
- Quality is same as the HSR outlet which is good.
- They have a dedicated place for wraps so the detailing dust doesn't cause any issues.

What I disliked:
- This is a smaller outlet and only one car can be washed at a time.
- 3M have universally increased foam wash rates for the weekend. It is Rs.730 for an Altis on a weekend vs Rs.550 for a weekday. This is because they get a huge rush for washing on weekends and are not able to cater to customers that come for detailing packages.
- Location is smack bang on the main road which means crazy traffic even on weekends. Car also gets dusty very fast if left out after detailing. Needs to be collected ASAP. In comparison the HSR branch is a bit more interior which means more peaceful.

If anyone has experience from this store for detailing, wraps or ppf, please update this thread. I have done these at the HSR branch till now.

As you can see the car was very dirty due to the rains and less frequent washes:








First step is to remove all loose dust particles with the pressure wash:


Then comes my favourite part. Applying the foam shampoo with the help of compressed air:




After the foam shampoo is applied, the boys wipe the surface with microfibre cloth. They used 2-3 cloths for the entire car to reduce putting swirls:

The keen eyed folks will observe that the car has a lot of swirls. I am no longer bothering with these as the car is currently driven very less and the earlier driver did not listen to me on how to wash at all:




The interiors were detailed last year Jan 2014 at the HSR layout branch. I asked Pradeep whether I should do them this time around and he said there was no need as they hadn't gotten dirty. He tried on a patch of the front seats and the difference wasn't much. Will keep interior detailing for Jan 2016.

Glad to see the store open, its closer to home and since Pradeep is managing the same. Had been to HSR branch few times and had interacted with Pradeep, who I felt is a straightforward guy.

Anyone who has their rate card, please share. Was looking at detailing options and rates for SUV and hatch.

Had a superb experience with 3M Sarjapur, Pradeep and team had a hard time cleaning up a completely messed up Polo inside out. Car has loads of nicks which needs paint job and then some major detailing to get it fully into shape. For the time being just a wash, but what a difference, they had to spent 1.5 hours on this one

Before and after shot without any correction, ignore the hood coz that is a bad paint job done by VW which needs attention.

This is better to figure out with all original paint and just a wash effect.

Just wanted to share my experience at the 3M Sarjapur road outlet for interior and exterior detailing of my Ecosport TDCi.

Services Availed :
* Foam Wash
* UV Treatment and Power shine
* Interior Germkleen Plus

What I liked :
I was not surprised by the warmth of Mr. Pradeep, he was very patient in explaining all the various services offered and exactly recommended what was required for my car. He did not suggest underbody coating, as the GC of Ecosport is really good.

Since the time I took delivery of the car in Jan'14, never really got a chance to get any detailing done. Just back from a Hyderabad drive with family, the car was in a total mess inside out. Here are some pics, please excuse for the quality as they were captured using phone camera.

Overall, I had a great experience again with the 3M outlet again. A month or so earlier, I had gone for a paint sealant package.

I will let the before and after pictures speak for themselves.









To summarize:

The good:

• There was not too much rush though it was a Sunday - just one car ahead of mine
• Mostly the boys work furiously and get each stage done in 5-10 minutes time
• Noticed a few scratches - and the manager and team helped me fix one of them ones in the best way possible - it looks less prominent now.

The bad:

• One of the boys started wiping the inner door frame of the car even before they did the wash - since I was hovering around the car; I immediately stopped him and alerted the manager. I was told that there are a lot of new recruits and hence the mistake

I got to know that they are launching their 3M mobile care unit next week.
Overall charges 561/- being a weekend.

Had to be in Chennai for 3 days before the big rains; then a drive to the Chikmagalur hills. The Dusty needed a thorough cleaning after each of these trips. Went to the new 3M care near my apartment complex in bellandur; Single wash (external foam cleaning, interior vacuum, engine bay, tire, wheels arch and underbody cleaning... Excellent job! Pradeep was there to ensure that nothing was missed out Picked up an yearly offer 9 washes + 3 wax and polish. Cheers

Being a regular at the 3M Car care centre in HSR since the days of its previous owner, I had no better place to go to get my car cleaned (it has been sitting duck in all the rains last month, covered in mud and muck).

Having gone to Sarjapur centre (also owned by the current owner of HSR centre), I went back to there knowing I'll be taken care of, as Pradeep the manager and some of the boys I'm familiar with are now there.

Over Saturday and Sunday this week (2 & 3 Jan 2016), I got a wash done and then came back for gloss back wrap of my car's B pillars. Apparently my friend's recommendation to enhance the look.

Here are the results. From horrible looking (sorry no before pics) to gleaming under the sun. Absolutely satisfied and delighted by the capable team at Sarjapur centre. Great job with the gloss black film wrap on B pillars. Without specialised surface treatment, an almost 6 yrs old car looks like that. Pleased!

I had my XUV washed at 3M Sarjapur road. Was charged Rs. 552 for the wash. As usual, the quality of their work is really awesome. They even helped in clearing some small scratches.





They have an offer right now. If you do a FB check in, they will give you a free 3M Microfiber cloth (Yellow)

I didn't take specific close up pics, but here is something for a closer look. And it is really too early to confirm if gloss film is better to maintain than the carbon fibre wrap. What I can tell is that it wasn't easy maintaining the carbon fibre wrap on my ex-Fabia's B pillars; too many scratches, light cuts. Was a nightmare.

It does involve basic interior cleaning - vacuum and also cleaning of the glass, dash etc.

First visit to 3M Sarjapur Road. My earlier 3M Experience was with the one on ORR-Near the marathahalli U Turn. Had been thinking of getting a good wash done for some time now. Last week, there was some painting happening in the balcony of one of the apartments above my parking. This resulted in some tiny white spots of paint on the boot and rear glass. I expected a good wash to clean it and headed to 3M-Sarjapur Road today. Ended up doing the full Paint Sealant Package. The last detailing was around 14 months back, so a little bit of push from the folks there changed my mind quickly.

Was not very crowded with only 2 cars there when I reached. Was promised delivery in ~4 hours and was delivered as expected. Overall a good experience. I had to step out for some other work and I got back there in ~3 hours. Was observing work on my car and the other cars there and they seemed to be doing a good job. Meticulous and efficient are the terms that came to mind. They did push for the yearly package, but not to the extent that 3M Marathahalli pushed last year. My problem with this package is that it is franchise dependent. So I lose the freedom to go to another center if needed. So did not opt for it.

I would rate the care I take as 'Above Average'. Thankfully with the help of the detailing centers, managing to keep it in reasonably good shape. Of course, on close inspection, some of the irregularities are visible-Like a couple of scratches and 2-3 tiny spots when the paint has gone due to stone hits.

I own a white Swift Dzire (old version) and it had lot of dents and rust was formed on both passenger doors. So, gave the car for repair of dent and painting at smart cars, Maruti service station.
1) Front and rear bumper were new and painted
2) Both rear passenger doors were rust and cannot be dented and painted, so has to replace to new doors.
3) Both Front doors, front quarter panels and rear quarter panel were also dented and painted.

As the car was re-painted, I want to protect the paint of the car. I have heard a lot about 3M car care in team-bhp and wanted to treat the car with 3M paint sealant and visited the center at Sarajpura road. As soon as I have entered the center, I was greeted a very good smile by Nelson and i introduced himself that I was a team-bhp member and after lot of positive reviews about this center i choose to visit.He said members of team-bhp are very important and he treated me with utmost respect and care. I explained to him that the car was re-painted except top, bonnet and trunk. He examined my car for sometime and suggested that since it was a white car, I have to give it atleast one month for the paint to absorb and I really like his honesty, any service company will think about how to squeeze money and not give genuine facts to customer.

Then, I have asked him about PPF (Paint Protection Film) for space inside door handles and doors edges of the car on all four sides. Again, he did a clear inspection and said that since it is a re-painted car and in future if at all the PPF is removed the paint might peel off, he left onus on me to take the decision.I decided to go ahead with it. It took about 30 mins for the whole process to be completed and bill of Rs 1600.

Overall, I had a very good experience at this location and rate very high and excellent customer service
