I too had taken Hariya for his interior and exterior treatment after a long time to this place and they did a very good job on the interiors. Hariya's interiors being the fabric kind, need lots of scrubbing to get the stains off them and the guys here were good at that. Also, they were not stingy in using the amount of product required and emptied 3 cans of fabric cleaner on Hariya alone. I have subscribed to their annual interior package and will go there in 6 months from now for my second cleaning.

On the exterior front, I had my own polish and protector to apply and hence cannot comment on the quality of their products.

Paid a visit to this 3M outlet for a quote on the body polish and teflon coating on my Figo.
Very customer oriented staff . Although it was a Saturday, there was no other car or maybe they were waiting for one that made an appointment.
They gave me a demo by polishing a small patch on the bonnet. Under lights or otherwise, the swirl marks on my car are so bad, it is easily visible.
The square they polished looked like the car was out of the showroom. Absolutely smooth and no marks at all. As for the difference in gloss, it was hardly noticeable, in the basement or outside, but I guess it will make a difference when the complete car is done.
The quote was 5k and the work should last for 8-12 months according to the staff, if maintained as they instruct.
Found that on a higher side since i was expecting the same price , but the work lasting for atleast 18 months by maintaing the shine as they recommend.

where can i get details about the details of the options available. I have a white civic (4 year), no dents etc. The intention is to have the brown dirt settled in hinges, window hinges, creases etc and also get back a good coat of clear coat. Is it preferred to go with synthetic based coating or wax based?

This post is not just about car detailing, but is about getting the 3M Nomad Mats. However, I'm posting it here, since this is the only thread on the 3M car care center in UB city.
Mods, request you to broaden this thread as the other 3M car care threads (for HSR, RMV, etc) cover not only detailing but other work too. Else please move this post to an appropriate thread.

I recently got 3M Nomad foot mats installed in my Maruti Ertiga. The owner Mr Vinod is a very helpful & quite a knowledgeable person. The trained staff helped me choose the color - between black, beige & grey - went with beige. They gave me a small demo of the mats. Then they took the Ertiga MGA mats to get the measurements for cutting the 3M mat rolls. As per my request & since these MGA mats dont fit too well, they made some modifications while cutting the mat rolls. They did a good, quick job & fitted the mats in the car.

I also spent some time chatting with Mr Vinod about how to maintain the exterior of the car (paint mainly). I bought some 3M towels. The staff did a touch up (for free) as there were some surface scratches which got effectively removed. They couldnt do anything about the deep scratches where the paint had gone though.

I've not been to the other 3M car care centers, but here there was no need to wait at all. In fact, the center seemed not too busy on a Sunday early evening. Appointments are needed for detailing only I'm told. I would definitely recommend this center.

Thanks for sharing the cost and details.
Personally I feel getting paint protection film for bumpers is waste of money. We may end up paying more than 14 K and it will give protection against small nicks. Slightly bigger nick and you will have to re-paint. Re-painting I guess will be costing lesser than the protection.

I have not had a happy experience with them:

1. Their shopfloor has a low roof and Hariya (my CRDe Scorpio) is too tall for them to clean the roof. Also, they do not stools/equipment to reach the roof.

2. They do not have a proper washing arrangement since their store has been carved out of one 4 basement parkings. Hence, underbody cleaning is an issue.

3. I had subscribed for an annual package by paying them INR 10,000.00 approximately but I did not get a single reminder call from them for my follow up services/polishes in spite of having been assured of the same.

4. I find the quality of work at the HSR Layout unit far better.
