Beauty par excellence - No doubts

SUGGESTION : Painting Black line along the groove on side panels would fill up the emptiness of side panels.
I did it myself. Just paste Paper Masking tape all the way parallel to the groove and painted 'Enamel Paint' with 1/2" Brush

This is my Gypsy relaxing mostly now as I hardly drive.
Driving in Delhi is not a pleasure any more

(Broken Spring Leave causing forward tilt)

Thank you so much for your appreciation.
this was my second restoration project. I am a beginner.
And thank you for your advice.
You have a very nice ride too. I think you should go for off-road rims and bigger tires. It'll make the stance of your gypsy more handsome.

Thanks for your views.

Honest Reply to your advice

No Money at present, to Spare for all that extravaganza despite an image of such ride in my mind.
Just to add, the rear covered section carries two cylinders of CNG which adds weight to rear axle and gives a stable and controlled drive at speed too.

Hi. I have a gypsy King with the original soft top. It's a pain to remove and put on again. I need a soft top which can be easily opened and put back within a matter of minutes. I should be able to do it alone. Any suggestions and pictures are welcome.

Congrats Abster!

What (if any) difference do you feel between the stock ride and your present setup ( 2" shackles and 31" tyres) ?

IMO

The most important difference would be the raised brows and glances of public on road (in admiration), looking at your Beastly Beauty :Shockked:

Very neatly done gypsy , keeping it simple always looks good .

Few queries though :
1. What are the mods done to accomodate 31" tyres .
2. How does the fused rims feel while driving above 70kmph ?

It's never too late to own one of these beasts. Booked a new Gypsy. Getting delivery this weekend. Pictures soon. :)

As someone said in one of the threads, your Gypsy experience starts with the struggle while getting the dealer to actually agree to book it. Since I exchanged my 4yr old Maruti Eeco with TrueValue, they have to book a model I want. So, I faced relatively less issues there. Dealer tried to change my family's mind though. I resisted & stood my ground.

Next comes the loan part. Unless you have a good relationship with your bank, they may try to convince you and your family to look for some other car. So, you have to insulate your family from two people. Dealer & Bank. Both will make sure ladies of your family revolt against you. This is where it stands.

(P.S: Am yet to get a confirmation from bank on the loan approval! Should come in anytime today / tomorrow. Thanks for my decade old relationship with the bank. Otherwise, good luck to you.)

Hi,

Eagerly awaiting more details! Please start off your own thread ASAP, after getting your Gypsy. I have been looking for first hand experience of buying a brand new Gypsy for quite some time now. Any idea when the production is going to stop? What color did you book? Is it an HT or an ST? And, please do share the on road price as well.

And of course, congrats! :)

Neel
