@Wanderhermit: We have used the Baleno radiator and fan instead of the stock ones.

You are to be blamed for my venture into the Gypsy world :). Still learning a lot about the beast as I drive it, but it is really awesome, especially after removing the HT. The handling has greatly improved after shedding the weight.

Sweet looking ride there! a couple of questions though -

1) what AC are you running?
2) where is the condenser?
3) does the engine stall at low RPM's?

The AC used in Sanden. The condenser fan is in front of the radiator and the condensor is right before the grill.

I have not driven much yet, but what ever I have driven, I have not had any issues of engine stalling at lower RPMs.

Hey Ardy . nice gypsy man . I had plans of painting my gypsy's rims black next month , after seeing your im going to do it this month itself .MPFI came only in 2000 right then how is yours a MPFi being 99 . Did you convert it or did an engine transplant?

It is indeed an engine transplant. This is an Army disposal Gypsy that has been restored. At the time of restoring, we decided to transplant a 1.3 MPFi instead of using the existing carb version, although the carb version was in a running condition.

Cool . Brand new or used engine .IS it endorsed in the RC book?:

Well fitting an Ac and Ps at the same place is a big task... The mountings needs to be fabricated in a way that the alignment of the pulley is straight, to insure the belt movement is correct. Like we all know Gypsy has issues to heating so i have used a baleno radiator( not a bolt on) worked on the radiator mounts.
Suggestions: If a gypsy is not installed with an Ac.... try using any bigger radiator with an electronic fan, the heating issues will reduce drastically.
@ Nikhil custom dash will still take time as i have work load now, but soon u ll see a new looking dash and customised bumpers.

Wow Shibu, the gypsy looks fabulous in that kind of a location.clap: The flat soft top design along with bigger tyres gives an impression of mini monster. Any lift in plan (through longer shackles etc) to prevent the bigger tyres rubbing fenders?

Kandisa, It is already lifted with a 2" Body lift and 1" shackle lift in the rear. It has just come out from body shop. Got all body damages of previous OTRs fixed. Need to test it offroad to see any rubbing happens.

GB, Yes it was 2WD when I bought and converted back to 4x4. You know I don't drive anything which doesn't say 4x4:D.

The diesel Isuzu would be 2.0L, right ?
