We paid 5500 per tyre (for 4 tyres) but that was in Jalandhar. Had to pay a bit more for the spare from Hisar as the guy in Jalandhar could not get the 5th tyre in our timeframe.

Congrats David!

BF's are great tyres. They have a long life, but also consider the weight of the vehicle will also make a slight diffeence.
I had also considered the same spec tyre for my MM550, but decided against it as the ride height is reduced by a little more than 2 inches which results in a lower ground clearance of 1 inch or 25.4mm when compared to 7.5 x 16 Sandgrips. Why not try to source Apollo Bullets(difficult to get) or JK Sand and highway. I read that shibu bought his JK's for 4500 approx tyre and tube!!! Atleast that will give you an Army stance if not the paint
Just a suggestion

I am considering BF's for my gypsy, 215/70/15's or 215/75/15's

Yea i will aslo chk out these options but for some strange reason the JKs look a bit slimmer compared to the mrf SG and apollo bullets.

Why dont you try JK Sand tires. They are easily availabble, give you the army stance and are much cheaper than 6k a tyre!

Or alternatively you could try getting your hands on old Sandgrips. easily available for 2.5-3k a tyre, with quite a decent tread. But new would b e my choice anayday
