does that mean that production has been re-started ? fwiw Trax Gurkha is still there in the Force Motors product section along with the Cruiser. Has Force for the umpteenth time restarted production of Gurkha ?

I do not think so production has started. This sunday (24 June) if you have seen wheelocity they had to put Gurkha on the show, I was asked to get my Gurkha.

They did not even have a spare car for Media.

An interesting article about the Force Gurkha. Finally we'll have another through bred offroader back on sale. This will push mahindra to pull up its socks on the Thar. They just haven't been paying proper attention on it and are selling it in the present condition because customers don't have a choice. This competition will be good for us-the customers!

Buddy forget it it's This year news. It would take another 2-3 years for them to take decision. I was in talks with Force since 2006, got the vehicle in 2008.

I have atleast 5 numbers on my contacts list starting with Force XXXX YYYY for the past 3 years, 3 of them have moved on. The other two claim, that the work on the Gurkha Prototype has not yet started.

Any news and any updates of the new Gurkha 2013 ?
I see many T-Bhpians awaiting for a New Gurkha 2013 with all that was missing comfort from other SUVs.

Re: 10 Dummies guide to Gurkha ~ 17000 kms done

Today I enquired with the force dealership in mumbai who directed me to their regional manager sales. He told me that the new gurkha was likely to be launched in february and I should be able to get delivery by march. He promised to revert back to me with news about the gurkha as soon as it was officially launched. Was not very forthcoming about any specific details though. Would have to wait for the official launch for that. This thread has really got me drooling over the gurkha and am eagerly awaiting the launch of gurkha 2013.

dear, chassis tryout for production... already chassis is validated by history & the test vehicles which are running for a long period... so don't worry at least i have never heard of a trax chassis breaking.. it not so simple... launch is nearing

Is it the same round tubukar chassis? Or are they using some different design this time?
Only the IFS & differentials are changed?

Re: 10 Dummies guide to Gurkha ~ 17000 kms done

Any further news on the release date ? The force dealership in mumbai has no news. They are waiting for the force one 4wd. The gurkha will come some time after that. Their regional manager sales is also unsure about the exact time of launch. It seems force motors is unable to shake off old habits. On another note it is difficult to book a scorpio lx 4wd now in mumbai. Global gallarie maintains that delivery cannot be predicted and even the scorpio website is no longer showing 4wd option for lx. A proper positioning with right pricing would be interesting. Even safari storme has notched up 6000 plus bookings according to some reports. The marketing honchos at force motors should sit up and take note.

Well, I guess this question is pretty redundant now - but just to revive this thread, I happened to drive this monster at the Force, Pune track and I was mighty impressed. However, this is coming from the point of view of someone who hasn't had much experience with off-roaders. The crawler function is insane! Unbelievable how how take your foot off the throttle and watch the beast climb a steep gradient. Pretty impressive stuff.
