Such astronomical prices will almost make it impossible for consumers to think of a purchase, especially in this demography. What's it priced abroad?

Re: Polaris RZR Pro R Sport launched at Rs. 59 lakh

A Polaris RZR Pro XP4 was recently delivered in Katni, Madhya Pradesh, to a buyer. The Pro XP4 is positioned below the Pro R Sport in terms of pricing but I had a chance to see it up close at the Polaris dealership in Delhi and I must say it looks and feels fabulous. The quality of plastics and switches is top notch and they feel built to last. The Pro R Sport looks even more wild in pictures. I doubt how many takers will it find at that price though !

It's not for consumers, per se Such a price may not make a difference to someone who owns a big farmhouse or owner of a high-end resort, or even for the Guru Ji of an Ashram, remember that MSG movie

Here's how much they sell in Canada. If I am not mistaken, custom duties on such products are not like cars, so definitely Polaris has priced around twice (greedy)

The ex-showroom price tag is 59 Lakh. That would translate to about $74,400 USD. The US equivalent (Polaris RZR Pro R Premium) is priced at around $37,500 USD (Rs 29.7 Lakh) so as usual we're paying about double the international rate. This is more Polaris being greedy than high Indian tax rates driving the price sky high as I don't think these are street legal and hence are not taxed the same way as normal CBU passenger vehicles.

Heck even if it was taxed as a CBU passenger vehicle it would cost less than 59 lakh, since the Polaris RZR Pro R costs less than $40,000 in the US and has a petrol engine displacing less than 3000cc it would carry a 60% tax rate which would mean it would be priced around 47.6 Lakh and not 59 Lakh.

Can-Am is not coming to India (at least officially) and Yamaha doesn't bother bringing their excellent range of superbikes from their International portfolio to India so why would they bring something so niche as side x sides. Polaris has a monopoly in this tiny market and they're milking every last rupee.
