I got done installing the front shocks as well and there is a huge unbelievable difference in the factory shocks ride quality and these.
This is probably the best money I would ever spend on this truck. Glad I changed right away and did not suffer with the factory shocks.

Re: My Ford F250 4x4 Diesel Truck

10 days camping offroading trip to Colorado is coming up next month. I am getting ready to go to the mountains.

Going to make some upgrades and customization on the truck before that.

Starting with On Board Air system. This system will have a compressor and 2.5 gallon air tank. It would be capable of inflating my tyres/tires, running small power tools, will provide me compressed air for cleaning out the Jeep and the truck as needed. Most importantly it will run my massive train horns.

Link to the system I am installing
http://www.viaircorp.com/OffRoad/20001.html

Will also do a Line-X truck bed coating sometime next week.

Now this is what I would call a Monster Truck in sleeper mode.

400 horses @ 2800 rpm and 800 Nm of torque at 1600 rpm . I wonder if the stock tires are able to provide adequate grip.

Wishing you happy miles.

Re: My Ford F250 4x4 Diesel Truck

Getting my VIAIR on board air system installed correctly required some fabrication and lots of variation of mounting hardware and plumbing fittings for all the air connections. It also required some nice welding skills as the fabrication would be little more than cutting and drilling holes. I wanted everything to fit under the truck like it came from factory and did not want a hack job so I decided to take the beast to my favorite mechanic/fabricator.

I spent the entire day over there; technically I was working from home so I had my laptop with me and had to answer occasional emails and IM request. Besides that it was all fun.

Parts:
I had bought a VIAIR Ultra constant duty kit that comes with a 200 psi air tank and compressor, it also comes with all the hoses and wires needed to wire everything up. We needed some additional wiring for some custom truck connection to factory upfitter switches inside the cab so I can maintain the factory look. (I had payed almost $400 extra for this factory option when bought the truck)
Besides all that I bought a custom VIAIR compressor mounting bracket that VIAIR sells, I wanted air source on both ends of the truck so I needed another coupler besides the one the kit came with so I bought an ARB air kit that comes with a really nice quick connect coupler and an orange offroad air up hose etc.
I also bought the best train horns I could find made by the company called Kleinn. They make train horns from $120 to $300. The cheaper ones are made of ABS plastic and the more expensive once are made out of spun copper with chrome finish. I wanted the consistent sound over the years so decided to get the best I could find.

Over all it cost about $1400 in parts and labor for the project. That’s little more than what I originally wanted to spend but at the end of the day I wanted a set up worthy of the truck. I am super happy with the way everything turned up.

Here are some pics of the shop and all the equipment they used to build me what I wanted. Along with pics of some other cool projects they were working on.

Re: My Ford F250 4x4 Diesel Truck

I guess there is no interest in such kind of projects here at team bhp; not a single comment or question!!!!

I had expected some curiosity as this is a very cool setup even from American standards

I'm still staring at that instrument cluster (page 1, image 3). Very American-Special-Forces-ish... man....
