Re: Nissan Patrol Y61

@Mohnish: Was the climb at 6m 17s conquered? Would have been interesting to watch the beast do it.

Apart from lift, what other mods have gone in?

Congrats!

Re: Nissan Patrol Y61

Nice buy!!. Looks like your build is progressing well. I have never heard of Ironman4x4, what country is the brand based in? (that does not mean anything, there are probably many more brands that I have not heard of)
In US ARB Bull bars are probably the most popular along with Warn winches.
I like the Ironman4x4 bumper workmanship very similar to ARB bumpers.

Also why has that guy opened the winch up? I installed my own winch (Warn 9.5ti) and never saw a reason to take it apart.

Bro the 32"s are presently not available and if you want Maxxis in particular its waiting even longer, there is one set of 275/70R16 A/T, but M/T's are doubtful.

Bro the brand is from Australia, its brought to India by Zac K Marattukalam, of 6th Mile Customs, Bangalore under the Ironman 4x4 India Banner.
Ironman 4x4 makes some nice products which are the same quality and finish as ARB.

We had to remove it and change the position of the clutch lever, or else it will foul with the front bull bar, its not required on a lot of vehicles but on some you have to change its position either as it fouls with the bullbar or just to gain access to it from the bullbar.

Re: Nissan Patrol Y61

^^^ That makes sense. Sorry I missed that in the earlier post. Do you know if Ironman4x4 makes their own winches or they have someone else built it for them? Does the winch have a "Made in XYZ" stamp on it?

Also on the lift what all did the lift consist of besides springs and shocks. Did you change any control arms or track bars. I think I saw solid axles so it probably has solid track bar. Are you getting any wobbles after the lift?

thanks

Re: Nissan Patrol Y61

I remember one hilarious picture i took sometime ago.

My Beetle's height was a little closer to the door handle of the Nissan Patrol

Funny things apart, i must admire Mohnish's and his Team, truly a perfect Team Play.

All the mods done were specific, followed by precision approach towards its end practical useage. Nothing was Jugaad.

A set of pics of the Patrol from a recent family trip to Kabini River Side lodge, with a houseful of 8 members full luggage on board. No road was a real challenge, nor did the occupants feel a thing inside when we hit a rough patch.

Absolute pleasure watching this monster. I remember getting scared looking at this monster in my tiny mini maruti zen's rear view mirror! on tumkur road. ought to pull off the road to let this monster pass by!

The last two pictures looks like its setting out to conquer the Gibsons Desert This beast suddenly came opposite me in front of Koramangala Club, Bangalore and I had mixed feelings of awe and fear seeing it... Sadly i was in the opposite direction in a car so could not turn around and see it properly. Could i see it sometime please, if possible
Also where is GT Tuners located in Bangalore? It looks like a very professional set-up...
Thanks
