Hosur - offroading trails and recees'

First Off I have to apologize for the BAD mobile pics/videos'.

Being two of the few Jeep owners in Hosur, one doesnt really plan a OTR/Recee/Trail spotting before hand. So, today, post lunch I decided to catch up with 'ganesh_bbr' and his Cousin Arul (CJ3B owner) and do some jeep driving.

Hosur is a ever-growing town, 40Kms south of bangy on the GQ, just inside the TN Border. Its landscape makes it a natural OTR friendly town and what you see in this 1st report is only a teaser. Its a ARID, HOT!, ROCKY, you name it kinda place.

I intend to keep this a RUNNING report and hope to take out my Jeep around Hosur on every given opportunity. Mum/Dad and nature lovers and love the JEEP part too. So shouldn't be a issue to do these sort of recees' often.

PS - This was also done with a intend to find new trails for bangy boyz who love to go around bangy for some nice trails.

Enough writing, now some 'really bad' pics. :(

Below are video links:

1) Soft roading to the bottom of the rock face

2) My CJ340 climbing up the Rock with some expert help

3) We didnt have the guts to try to climb this vertical, so came down it instead.

4) My CJ340 crossing a small stream

5) Arul crossed it, but stupid mobile got a call and stopped video recording :(

-------------------------------

And the ONE advantage of being in a small town like Hosur for any off roading enthusiast - All these trails are within 2Kms of our homes, and 3Kms from the Best mechanic, and less than 200Meters from a NH. You get stuck, walk to the road, take a auto/town bus back home and figure out a way to recover the Jeep.

Thanks Dwarak, this trail looked promising and since we were handicapped without any recovery gear, did take too many risks. Let me know if you and may be 1-2 more jeepers can make it here. I would like your 1st hand experience of charting a OTR route Before actually deciding a full fledged get-together. All we did was less than 1 KM. This trail is good for 3-4Kms at least.

Just to give you a idea....

This is the tiny 1Km~ trail we did.

More places which looked good.

Map of the spot. Its 35Kms from SilkBoard to Hosur Flyover. Another 3 Kms to the trail.

Good Write-up Santosh.

Anyways ... y did u call my mobile a stupid mobile ? :-( It did serve us on that day.

OK. Now about the location. It was very challenging and had a great time with Santosh/Jeeps and the location. It was very Hot that day but it was not much bothering us.

No Ganesh, this was not very difficult. Lets gear up to showcase such trails to Dwarak/likes. Before that, lets get into this trail again this week, and try to come out of NH7

^^ Venky, Hosur supercedes bangy w.r.t to Temps. It gets warm by 9AM, Full-HOT by 11'ish. But, it rained heavily today in Attibele-Electronic strech, if it continues then the trail will get cooler by weekend...
