Hi Amar,

My Jeep was not there for the OTR, it is still at the workshop. But yes I am also waiting for it and would like to know if the tires are worth the pennies I have paid for.:D

We had a blast this OTR. After few easy OTRs, this was a very welcome happening. We discovered amazing climbs. Pushed our vechiles to the limits. The Newbies in our group we flabergasted. Infact one freind's wife who was riding with me and refused to get on my, Ankits', Harjeev and MOD SSS jeep. She was shifted to a Montero of a newbie who was doing the easy tracks.

1. The Kumo tyers was a new Guy, Madan, He is a collector with a sizable number of Jeeps. It had a Isuzu 2500 cc turbo charged engine with Isuzu gearbox. I didn't realise the flip, u noted. Great eye buddy.

2. It just happened that while climbing up Arjun stopped on hitting a flatter section and incidently the rear wheels were in the Air. So the fun of clicking that pic started. The Gypsy was stationay at the time of clicking the pics. This section where the pic was clicked was just crazy. Only skilled offroaders could got through.

Saw the your punch line, U need a Offroading fix bad.....

Hi Amit,

There is no better tyre then NDMS for offroading. Its mine and Rb's personal experience. I have never felt of changing NDMS to any other tyres. What i suggest is to bring down the air pressure to 16 psi to have better traction on sand. If you go for Bigger tyre, more power you will need.

Secondly, please use 2 low 4x4 for better momentum and not 1 low.

If you still think that you need to change them, give me the old NDMS as i need a change as all my NDMS have been eaten by the rocks and thorns after this hardcore offroading :)

Yeah, the more difficult the terrain the better. More and more tough the more & more better it gets. It's been 2+ years since I visited Delhi/North India and you guys are tempting me to visit it soon and do some off-roading with you guys.

Sarvinderji, you coming down here for the Coorg OTR this time around? If possible this time more folks from Delhi/NCR should come down here. It will be fun.

You bet. The irony is that till some 4 weeks ago, it was hot as hell and we were going out every week. For past 2-3 weeks it raining quite nicely and no off-roading action

In some of the pics where it is loose sandy/soil and the wheels of blue jeep are half stuck, how did the Kumho jeep perform (the tyres). Did they dig in if the vehicle was not having enough momentum? The reason I ask is because my Maxxis Trepador MT tyres do dig in, in loose powdery sand/powdery soil.

We actually did not see the jeep in very sandy places but where there was regular amount of sand the Kaiser with the Kumho MT's was casually driving through. Amits Mig 29(:D) dug itself in when it was trying to recover a 3b that had got stuck right in the middle of the slope. The Kaiser had done a recovery too and there also we did not notice it digging itself. Maybe Amit and Sarvinder Sir could elaborate.

The only issue is how to get the Jeeps there. Do let us know the plans maybe we guys would also make it with MOD SSS
