A new trail of different kind for Bangalore offroaders. Riverbed of 15 -20 kms with shifty sand. Possibly we can expect some waterbodies on the trail.

Recce was there on 22nd May , Sunday and was attended by two vehicles and 6 people. Kamal's Willys and MP Sreenivas's Armada and me ofcourse on foot or as passanger.

Trail is very good and hot during the day time. MP Sreenivas with his experience from Palar Challange was cruising at 40 kms on sand and cleared every turn with grace. Having larger and broader tyres really helps. Kamal with his willys had a bit of trouble with engine overheating and NDMS digging into sand and bogged.

Fun was unlimited and this is what we craved for.

Watch for main event , which we plan to have on full moon day shortly as evening OTR. Be assured , the OTR will be in full moon and no vehicle lights. sounds interesting right?

Get your vehicles ready and equipped. Radiator water is what needed in bulk - say 10 ltrs minimum.

Was it only sand drive? We have hills all around. One of the hill we did as part of recce. Sounds very promising and vehicle bashing too. Avalakonda belt.

Nice sand trail saar. I can imagine the heat, did a similar stretch last summer and we all were cooked though it was amazing fun! How far is this place?

And did you guys air down, that is the key for this kind of sand. NDMS can be brought down to single digit psi.

this place is about 80 kms from Bangalore and about 20 kms from Avalakonda.

We dd not reduce the air because we had not carried foot pump. Full fledged OTR will be with reduced air for all vehicles. Experts to say what is ideal for each kind of tyre.

Few more photos of recce. For break, we savoured on jackfruit and mangos. On the way we bought 5 -6 kgs of mangoes each.

Articulation Willys the ultimate. Radiator heated up requiring 3 ltrs of water to top up everytime.

Dwarak sir, where is this place - some major landmarks/town names plz. This is a Super place for bangy boyz to test their machines for Palar/TPC. And what better time than the heat coz come june, this place may get all wet. TPC wont be so forgiving. :)

Santosh, We have our own TPC now - " THE PINAKINI CHALLENGE" :D, if you can drive here,you can drive anywhere in Bangalore city and still survive to see another day.:deadhorse

place is near gauribidanur. Sorry can't reveal latlong :) until the full fledged OTR

But can assure you, is a good trail and training ground for palar challenge. take the terrain at 60 kmph. just kidding.

any one with 4x4 vehicle can join the event, there is no restriction, no participation charges, just drive down and have fun.
