Jaguar has launched the all-new XE sedan in India at a starting price of Rs. 39.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It gets its own thread. Check it out.

Jaguar's first production SUV - F-Pace is on display.



This SUV is 4,731 mm long and has a wheelbase of 2,874 mm. Like the other new-gen Jags, this one's body is aluminium-intensive (80% Al). Despite its size, it weighs 1,665 kg only:


There's an uncanny resemblance to its Range Rover cousin:


Powering the F-Pace are 3 engine options (same as the new XF) - 2.0L diesel (177 BHP / 430 Nm), 3.0L diesel V6 (296 BHP / 700 Nm) and a 3.0L Supercharged petrol V6 (375 BHP / 450 Nm). All these are mated to 8-speed ZF transmissions:

This horizontal line intersecting a roundel is an iconic styling feature inherited from the iconic Jaguar E-type. Notice the AWD badge:

Stepping inside the F-Pace...

All-black dashboard. The 10.2" touchscreen infotainment system stands out:


Steering appears similar to the new XF's. Although this one gets beefier thumb contours and the 'S' logo on the bottom spoke:


Paddle shifters:


Virtual 12.3-inch HD instrument cluster with four visual themes and full-screen 3D navigation display:


Illuminated scuff plates:


Black interiors but beige leather on the seats, centre armrest, door armrest etc:

A little over a week ago, Jaguar launched the updated XJ at a price of Rs. 98.03 lakh (ex-showroom pre-octroi Mumbai):


Colour options include Polaris White, Rhodium Silver, Ammonite Grey, Dark Sapphire, Odyssey Red, Aurora Red, British Racing Green and Ultimate Black:


The Portfolio variant features full LED adaptive headlamps:


18" multi-spoke wheels:


Available with a 2.0L turbo petrol (237 BHP / 340 Nm) or a 3.0L V6 diesel (296 BHP / 700 Nm):


Brown and beige interior colour theme:


The steering wheel has a classy wooden surround. It also looks a lot clutter-free in comparison to the new XF's wheel:


8-inch touchscreen infotainment system:


The feature list also includes heated and cooled front and rear seats, 14-way adjustable electric driver and front passenger seats with memory function, 4-way lumbar support and massage function with 5 intensity settings, four-zone climate control and ambient lighting among others:

First things first - it's starting price in India is Rs. 1.258 crore (ex-showroom Delhi) and is available as a CBU only:

I can find no other information about the F-Pace having been launched in India! Not even their official Jaguar India website says so.
Can you please confirm the same ?

Oops. While replying to your post I referred to the press release once again. It's actually the price of the F-Type not the F-Pace.

No problem mate. It's just that I've been following the F-Pace for a long time, and in no other feed of the Auto Expo was this launch mentioned, which got me thinking!!

Again, the price mentioned was another surprise because I think it'll be launched somewhere around 60 lacs.
It's the XF on steroids though! 😎😎

Awaiting the Team-BHP detailed review when it does get launched.

Jaguar is all about the drool machines and one of the highlight is surely the F-Pace. On the looks of it has a heavy Jaguar family style and the stance seems to be more like their cars on stilt than an SUV.

As mentioned the rear does ape its other cousins in the name of Range Rovers. Would be interesting to see how it fares when launched in the premium SUV market given that it has limited room at the back.

It seems as though we have an uneven gap between the hood and the front quarter panel right above the headlamp.

British engineering or Indian craftsmanship? Whatever it is, it surely is not something expected on a 90+ lacs vehicle that too one which is displayed at an auto expo.

Funny even car wale mentions expected price to be 1.5 crore. And believe me, they never got their estimated pricing wrong yet.

Fabulous coverage of the Jaguar stall S2. Lovely shots.

Thanks to a friend of mine who is from the media, I got to sit in the F-Type and F Pace. The F Type is just wow. More so since I havent ever been in a sports car ever.
