Ultraviolette F99 electric race bike unveiled at EICMA 2023

The F99 can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3 seconds and has a top speed of 265 km/h.

Bangalore-based EV start-up, Ultraviolette Automotive, has announced its entry into the European market. EICMA 2023 also witnessed the world premiere of the brand's F99 Factory Racing Platform.

The F99 is a fully-faired electric motorcycle that uses a lot of carbon fibre in its construction. It features active aerodynamics with an air windshield and cowl ducts in the front that channel air to the motor that compresses and releases it through vanes. This mechanism is said to optimize airflow over the rider’s helmet reducing drag.

The F99 also features an Air-Blade. It’s an electronically actuated side panel that adapts to lean angles, improving downforce during cornering. Additional winglets are positioned at the front and rear of the bike. The bike weighs 178 kg and has a drag coefficient of 0.45.

The F99 uses a liquid-cooled electric motor that generates 120 BHP of peak power. Ultraviolette claims the bike can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3 seconds and has a top speed of 265 km/h.

The global commercial launch of the F99 Factory Racing Platform is expected around 2025.
