Suzuki unveils Gixxer motorcycle and Let's scooter

Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited (SMIL) has unveiled two new products, the Gixxer motorcycle and the Let's scooter, which it plans to launch over the coming months.

The Gixxer is Suzuki’s second motorcycle in the 150 cc segment, the first being the GS150R. However, while the GS150R is styled rather conservatively, the Gixxer is flamboyant. The motorcycle houses a 150 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, carburetted, 4-stroke engine, featuring Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology. Power and torque figures have not been disclosed as yet. Suzuki has equipped the bike with an electric starter, digital instrument cluster, telescopic front suspension and  monoshock at the rear. Stopping power is provided by a single disc and a drum brake on the front and rear wheels respectively.

The Let’s is a 110 cc scooter, which is aimed at the youth. It is powered by a 112.8 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine that puts out 8.7 hp @ 7500 rpm and 9.0 Nm of torque @ 5500 rpm. The scooter features a CVT transmission, electric starter, telescopic suspension at the front, coil spring suspension at the rear and drum brakes all round. The Let’s is equipped with SEP technology, and is capable of achieving a fuel economy of 63 kpl according to the manufacturer. The scooter is available in five colours, Pearl Mira Red, Metallic Triton Blue, Pearl Mirage White, Sparkle Black and Metallic Sonic Silver.
