Here are some clear images of the upcoming Mahindra XUV500 facelift. The images show the cosmetic changes that the vehicle receives.
At the front there is restyled hood with a flat middle portion, a pair of restyled headlamp clusters with projector units, chrome inserts and LED parking lamp lines. The orange turn indicators have made way for more modern units as well. The grille of the car is new and has a honeycomb mesh design pattern with a horizontal chrome strip running at the top and Scorpio-like floating black slats with chrome inserts. The bumper is redesigned and houses a wider air dam. The fog lamps are larger and have an elongated design. They have been relocated to just under the headlamps and their housings get chrome surrounds.
The sides of the the XUV500 appear to be unchanged. However, the car gets a new set of 10-spoke alloy wheels.
The interiors of the vehicle do not seem different from the outgoing model. The dashboard design is pretty much the same and the steering wheel, instrument cluster, and air-conditioner unit seem to have been carried over as well. However, the reflective portion on the top of the centre console is gone and so are the silver strips on the sides. The cowl above the infotainment system is redesigned to prevent reflection and the infotainment system itself appears to be new. The cowl on top of the instrument cluster is now integrated into the dashboard to eliminate rattles.
Mahindra is expected to launch the XUV500 facelift in May 2015.
