Earlier this year, Ford unveiled the Mustang in India. The company had disclosed that it would launch the car in the country during the second quarter of 2016. Taking this forward, Ford has imported 4 units of the Mustang. This image shows three of the four cars at the company's yard.

This is the sixth generation of the Mustang and the first to feature a right-hand drive configuration. The car will be offered with a 5.0-litre, V8 petrol engine that develops over 420 BHP and 542 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The car is expected to come with features such as 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic HID headlamps and fog lamps, LED tail lamps and a rear spoiler. On the inside, the Mustang is expected to be equipped with dual-zone climate control, a 4-gauge instrument cluster, a multi-function steering wheel, paddle shifters, Ford's SYNC 3 infotainment system with voice command support, navigation, and ambient lighting. Other features such as keyless entry & go, power folding mirrors and a rear camera are also likely to be available.

The Mustang will be brought to India via the CBU (completely built unit) route.
