Maserati coming to India soon

Maserati is all set to hit Indian shores in the coming months. The Italian sports carmaker is likely to set its first, exclusive dealership in Mumbai. Ahmedabad-based Galaxy group is likely to be the company's official dealer.

The GranTurismo and the Quattroporte are among the first cars from Maserati's product line that are likely to be introduced initially. The GranTurismo is a sports coupé available with either a 4.2 litre or a 4.7 litre V8 motor. The Quattorporte is a 4-door luxury sedan powered by a 3.0 litre V6 petrol and a diesel engine. A 3.8 litre V8 petrol motor is also available in the GTS version. We will have to wait to see which engine options are made available in India.

Maserati's baby sedan - the Ghibli will follow soon after. It will be powered by either a 3.0 litre V6 petrol or diesel motor. This car is said to rival the Mercedes-Benz CLS, Audi A7 and the BMW 6-series Gran Coupé, and is expected to arrive to be priced between Rs. 85-90 lakhs.
