Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 unveiled

Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. has unveiled its new entry-level supercar, the Huracan LP610-4. It is a replacement for the Gallardo, which has been the company’s best-selling car till date.

The Huracan is powered by a Euro-6 compliant, 5.2-litre, V10 unit producing 610 hp @ 8,250 rpm and 560 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. This power is transmitted to all four wheels through a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The car’s steering wheel has a driving dynamics selector switch with modes – strada, sport and corsa. Stopping power comes from carbon-ceramic brakes, which are included in the list of standard equipment.

The Huracan has a hybrid chassis, combining carbon-fibre and aluminium elements, which make it light. Other lightweight elements used in the car's construction, help keep its weight down to just 1,422 kg.

With a combination of high power and low weight, the Huracan is able to clock a 0-100 kph time of 3.2 seconds. The 200 kph mark is touched in 9.9 seconds and the car will keep accelerating to a top speed in excess of 325 kph. The car also features a start/stop technology which help it achieve a claimed combined EU consumption figure of 12.5 km/l and CO2 emissions of 290 g/km.

On the inside, Lamborghini have provided a 12.3 inch TFT instrument panel, which serves as a navigation and infotainment system. Nappa leather and alcantara trim is offered in several colour combinations to allow owners to individualise their cars.
