India-made Hyundai i20 Automatic launched in Indonesia

The Hyundai i20 has been launched in Indonesia at the ongoing 2016 GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show). The car will be manufactured and exported from Hyundai's plant in India.

In the Indonesian market, the i20 is powered by a 1.4-litre, four-cylinder Gamma VTVT petrol engine that develops 98 BHP and 130 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic gearbox.

Hyundai is also expected to introduce an automatic variant of the Elite i20 in India. Media reports have indicated that the launch will take place around this year's festive season.
