Honda India offering 7 year / 100,000 kms warranty

Honda cars India is offering a 7 year/100,000 kms warranty across its range. The news came to light after BHPian vvrchandra, who owns a 2010 Honda City, received a message from his dealer in Hyderabad, informing him that he could opt for an extended warranty on his 5 year old City. On further enquiry, it has been learnt that Honda is offering an extended warranty to those vehicles which are less than 7 years old or have covered less than 1 lakh kms.

Called the "Honda Any Time Warranty", the extension can be purchased even if the car's on-going standard/extended warranty has expired and can even be transferred if the ownership is changed. Owners of discontinued models such as the Jazz, Civic, Civic Hybrid or Accord can also avail of the service. The program begins at 1 year/20,000 kms and goes up to the aforementioned maximum period. Under the Any Time Warranty, the dealer will repair or replace any part which proves to be defective within the limits of warranty at no charges to the customer for parts or labour.

Owners with a good service record and valid policy will incur a lower premium than those who have improper records or expired warranties. Details on the prices per model as per Honda's official site can be found in the image above.
