GM India 'unofficially' recalls the Chevrolet Cruze

GM India has issued a silent recall of the Cruze sedan. While Chevrolet has not officially announced a recall or mentioned it on their official site, dealerships have reportedly been getting in touch with Cruze owners. Customers are being told that the recall is to change a "minor part" in the car. Dealers say the procedure will be done in two hours and owners will not incur any expense for the same. However, some dealers claim the recall is to carry out certain "upgrades" to the car in order to improve on its emission levels.

If a report by Cartoq is to be believed, the recall is supposedly an exercise to replace the PVC bracket that holds wiring in the engine bay.
