Wagon R:Acc Lost: Solved

There are about 5 speed breakers between my parking lot and the main road.
It’s a distance of less than 1/2 a km.
Generally I coast thru without pressing the accelerator.

Today as I crossed the last speed breaker my accelerator went dead.
No response on pressing the pedal.

I parked on the side and then opened the bonnet.
Found that the accelerator cable has fallen out of the metal clamp that holds it in place.
Replaced it and the car is back to normal.

I have not yet tightened the bolts that hold it in place, as I am not sure of the tightness needed.

This is to inform others that given the rapid speed breakerization (new word ) this can happen to them.

Great find!
But it looks like you were going a wee bit too fast over those humps, else the cable would not have got displaced.

As I said earlier I dont even press the accelerator.
So not only was the speed very low but I know these bumps and take them carefully.

It must have been getting loose for quite some time and I never noticed.
