Hmm, I don't think it will be a tutorial on basic photography, it gotta be much deeper than that. You can't expect Schumacher to write about parallel parking...

A nice house surrounded by water in the Alapuzha (Aleppey) backwaters.

House boats again in the Alappuzha backwaters.

A view of the Kollam beach, just minutes after the Tsunami struck - the sea looks so
calm as if nothing untoward had even happened.

Another post-Tsunami snap. The church is just 200ms or so from the shore - seawater got till the entrance to the church.

Thanks, jkdas. That's one of my favourite snaps too.
Another monkey-ing around snap from the Vedanthangal bird sanctuary near Madras.

Please post snaps that fit into the browser.

That is an amazing shot, it is a pity the main subject is out of focus. It looks like the camera auto-focussed onto the wall. You should have focus locked on the monkey and then re-composed the shot.

Hey Samurai, I had given the option on imageshack to resize it accordingly, but somehow it did not turn out that way. So, then I edited the post and modified the option to have it as a thumbnail. I guess it is OK now.

Well, actually it was an action shot. In the sense that the kid monkey was not hanging on to the parent's tail - it jumped on to the tail and then swung a bit and jumped down. Did not give me time to frame the shot - so clicked a series of snaps continously and thus the limitation. The snap below is the 1st one of the series (hazy due to the action).
Oops, unable to get it in a screen viewable size, even after trying various options. Will post later.

As I walked home yesterday from work, my path was lit by the moon. That was enough for me to go for a hour long photosession of the moon.
