Fake Wiring kit

Hello People!

Watch out for a fake JBL wiring Kit! Currently available in New Delhi, this is as fake as fake can be.
There is an original JBL kit too, but this isn't it. This is just a shout out, so you dont end up with the fake kit.

The original wiring kit.

Well so far JBL has only one wiring kit. I think the safest is to insist on a Bill.
Here's a picture of the real mcoy.

Sam, wow, I saw this wiring kit last week in Lajpat Nagar. The shop was next to Elegant motors, it was Gem Car Audio. He was selling these wires for 750 bucks. They looked really good, I couldnt tell they were fake. I asked him if these were the same wires that came with the kit with JBL amp, but he said no, these were better than the those.

Aseem, is it true that many fakes are made in Delhi? I keep hearing this phrase "Delhi ka chor" in Mumbai but have not had any bad Delhi experiences yet.

"Delhi ka chor" ... "chor machaye shor", thats why most chors in delhi are in car audio

On serious side, I find the prices in Delhi to be the cheapest in comparison to Bangalore etc. So one has to be careful when buying products in Delhi, specially without bill and warranty. However the quality of this fake JBL wire was amazing, not for a second I thought it could be fake. Personally I feel that most sellers in Delhi know how to talk, and they will always have a good demo car to prove a point or two.
When we went to Gem car, he demoed us a Swift which had no amplifier for speakers, and had a Sony 502 for the Pioneer sub in sealed enclosure. I was amazed by the sound as I could hear each speaker producing a different note. I became suspect, and bought an MP3 from my car, and it sounded pretty "normal". I later found out he was demoing using DVD-R and thus the 5.1 dolby effect was misleading us to believe that his system was awesome.
Personally I recommend buying all stuff from wholesaler or a seller you trust, and than going to one of those fancy shops for installation.

Navin they might sound nice, they might be good as well, but to leverage an established brand name to sell your product is not right....

By no name brands i di dnot mean fake brands. I was talking about unbranded wire. Belden got a cult following after someone soruced the wire but at one time it was unbranded.
