Maicoletta.

How many survive? A quick google search reveals BMC 860 a Black Maicoletta. This Red one is co-incidentally BMC 861

That's a pretty odd yet wonderful looking scooter. What are the specs of the motor?

IQBAL VEERJI knows his onions very well and has a good memory as here is a picture of that "fat, short guy with dark glasses". Maybe he also wore shirts without stripes. I got this picture yesterday and spoke to Karl about it. He directed me here, and so here is another link from the past to the present. The registration number on my pic was BMC 861, blanked for the benefit of Kasli. I may consider selling a print of this picture to the present owner if he contacts me.

Cheers harit

And maybe he also wore plain glasses without gold frames!

Good to see the scoot still existing and in good shape!

Incidentally, 'wonder what happened of the other red one that was being restored in Bangalore?

Was half put together and now lies in Doc's stables. There is another one lying here but seems like a long shot project, since spares are so hard to come by. Anyone knows of a spare engine for this scoot?

He even took off those glasses See the picture below. It seems that banter comments are made and next thing you know a photo comes along to continue that.

I would say the second picture is his riding buddy and not him. They are clearly not the same people.

Yes that's the one it has been now bypassed by a wider bridge, for which they have a toll

Obscure Vintage & Classic Scooters in India

At the India bike week, I came across this delightful scooter OSA from Poland. It is very rarely that we come across obscure and now defunct scooter brands in India as so few of them came in. So this thread is dedicated to these lesser known brands Request people to refrain from posting lambrettas, vespas etc on this thread.

Now the star of the show for me the only scooter present at India bike week amongst all the super cool bikes but still held its own.
