Re: Accessories for Royal Enfield

How about some saddle bags, throwover style or some leather hard bags?

Re: Accessories for Royal Enfield

I need a bigger handle for my bike, used to have one but the quality was never too good and went through 3 in about a couple of years.

Last time I went to get a replacement and Rajkamal at Vile Parle didn't have any, don't know where else they'd be available off the shelf, don't really have the patience to get one made, not that I know where that is done either.

The thing was I had to replace all the cables once I got the shorter handle, guess will have to again once I get the big one, so would prefer a standard handlebar that would allow me to use std longer RE cables.

Also interested in a throw-on saddlebag and big cover.

Are there any shops in Mumbai for this? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Re: Accessories for Royal Enfield

Hi guys

Do you know where I can get the military style lockable panniers and rack for the Bullet? Is this something available from the company itself, or does one need to start scrounging through gujjris? I'm based out of Hyderabad and would appreciate any help- thanks!

Side Luggage / Box for Bullet

Hey guys.. I am looking for a sturdy luggage carrying solution for my Bullet. Need something which is spacious and has a wide mouth (to put in the camera basically). A side box is what I am keen on.

Anyone familiar with any solutions ?? It would be a permanent fixture on the bike and would be used for both local commuting and touring..

(Cruiser from Studds is the last option, willing to stretch a bit.)

Re: Side Luggage / Box for Bullet

You can try GIVI base plates + boxes .They are available in delhi . Infact I want to get box from delhi .. You can try a top box . Or why dont you buy a tank bag ?

PS : Did you say camera ?. If you put a camera in a box , the shaking and rattle with screw up the lenses and camera . Dont do that .If you want to carry a camera, use a shoulder bag.I know it will be back pain , but putting a camera inside a box is not advised

Re: Side Luggage / Box for Bullet

Thanks for the advice black, its an SLR camera and sturdy enough to handle the pain. When I tour I ride for 10-15 hours a day and cannot carry anything on shoulders. Plus the camera goes in a cushioned bag and then in the box. Don;t worry about that aspect.

And what is GIVI? have never heard of it..

PS : Just googled for it. Its the rear box, I am not very keen on a rear box. As mentioned looking for side luggage...

Studds Accessories Ltd.

check the above link, you will find a lot of side luggage options. Studds is a good brand in itself and availability will also be far easier.
