For some strange reason, I get the feeling that it was stage managed. Probably to show the amount of power that the vehicle has. Sometimes, such acts tend to go viral and thereby reach a larger audience.

I am little bit confused. Accelerator is on the right side and guy on the right side of scooter does not seem to have meddled with accelerator.

Maybe someone was so pissed off he jammed the accelerator handle on full throttle and when they started it, it just flew off and launched itself into the crowd. Grazia loves Indian crowd it just can't wait.

Meanwhile as per rumors somewhere a Honda Civic is getting ready for its launch in near future, hope it won't be this eager.

Edit: just saw the full video and these scooters were ridden on stage, so it's definitely the guy in the right who messed it up.

The total fault seems of the right side guy. Look closely and you will notice that the guy throttled hard mistakenly thinking it would rev like a bike in neutral (@ 0.12 seconds)

The guy on the left did well to hold on to the scooter though.

Seriously though, it hurts to watch a brand new scooter crash in the silliest way. It seems like no one was hurt or else it would have been problem since the scooter is probably not insured.
