Interior Mod (lighting) to an Accord V6

Hey..how has everyone been?

Wanted to share a restoration project I undertook for a Honda Accord V6.

The customer demanded for a unique lighting solution for the interiors...after some pondering I found the perfect solution...here is something that has not been done in India before (as far as my knowledge goes).

The lights are hooked to the parking lights. Installed L-Shape DRLs, projector lights and puddle lamps in the ORVMs

Hope you guys like what I did

Re: Interior Mod (lighting )

Are those neons? wow. It does look like proper effort has been put in designing the layout and creating the ambience.

Strictly my personal view, it looks kinda too much bling ... and in my mind I can't relate bling blended with japanese. Again, just a personal thought (highly subjective too!)

Well done. It sure looks good and I'm sure the interior lights aren't as bright as they look in the pics. Also can you post a front view with the DRLs on, in the day? Thanks.

Re: Interior Mod (lighting) to an Accord V6

Well I personally prefer ambient lighting anyday, as it has a classy feel. Seen a lot of this done on several cars abroad, with strips for the entire dash, floor consoles and so on.

The DRLs work looks great, but the strips dont go well with the car. Just my opinion and again is subjective. The more discreet the lighting source is, the better it comes out. But execution wise, Awesome!!!

And by the way, I LOVE your Lancer

Good job. Atleast I have not come across one so far. I am interested in knowing more details like what was used for door trim lights? What is the cost and total power consumption?

Re: Interior Mod (lighting) to an Accord V6

What kind of lights are these that you have used? It certainly looks thicker than the usualy streetglow strips? Is it streetglow?

I am interested in getting this done for my car in Bangalore. Would appreciate if you can help me out.

nice... Tron Legacy look eh?!?
You should do that to the exterior of the car.. might get irritating while on the inside.

Re: Interior Mod (lighting) to an Accord V6

Hey guys thanks for all the comments, these are El lights that are powered by the car battery and connected to the parking lights...power required is just 3W.. although power units need to be distributed according to length.

They dont really distract inside the car as they are give out very subtle glow, they undoubtedly look brighter in the pics than they are.

Khshitij - What is the width of these strips? The one that is there in the classifieds - they seem to be thinner than the ones that you have put here in the accord.

Bringing alive a zombie thread, alright!!

Tron look is neat, I had lights in the footwells in my Accord, thats a pretty cool look to have. I actually tweaked my Audi to be able to use those lights, selectable from the MMI.

Obviously, you should keep those and any interior lights off while driving.

If your still working on her, do update.
