Skoda is a favorite there. It scores well in reliability, functionality, features and price. Makes you wonder why Skoda cannot do the same in India. :(

Uh oh. The least reliable part is a bit worrying. Grand Punto, SX4...

Surprised to see a Civic in the non reliable category. The E Class coming tops in terms of reilability in the luxury segment is something. Maybe Mercedes is getting back to their good ol days.

The SX4 is sold as a hatchback in those parts of the world!

The Punto landing in the least reliable list is worrisome!

Seems to be like any other survey and doesnt seem to be slanted one way or the other.
Only difference I can see is that they studied 90,000 vehicles. That number sounds a bit high to me, but if that is true, then well and good

Indeed, very surprising to see the Honda Civic. Here is what a reader comments on that site:
"I had the latest Honda civic and it was the worst car I have ever owned. The only reason it spent as much time at the garage as it did on the road. Never again will I buy a Honda."
But overall Honda gets the highest rank and Richard Headland, Editor of Which? Car, says: "Japan continues to show the rest of the world how to make consistently reliable cars, although the new Honda Civic shows they're not infallible"
The J.D Power Asia Pacific Study 2008, however, has not taken the Civic into consideration, evidently because of the timeframes they have chosen to consider. It would be very interesting to hear more reports about the Civic in the India Market.

I would have expected the Ford Mondeo to be pretty high up on the list.

And since when did a Honda Civic become a "large car"? And in the same category under least reliable, they have the VW Passat which is much bigger than the Civic (and an actual full-size sedan). Are they nuts or what?

Anyway, good job by Skoda. Clarkson are you listening?

What surprises me is the fact that the Land Rover Discovery 3 / LR3 came in least reliable. I always believed the only so called unreliable suv from Land Rover was the Freelander. Later they started taking care of it by improving it.

A survey of reliable cars and not one Toyota in the list?

Sorry, but I am not a good believer/can't accept the facts in this survey it seems. Too many questions are coming up in my thoughts. I'm biased, maybe?

The list is shocking for sure. Not the reliable one, but the least reliable one.
Fiat, Suzuki and Honda were not expected to be there. Specially Suzuki and Honda.

BTW, can anyone shed some light on the paramteres involved ?
