I doubt this is the Swift. Reasons

1. We don't find the Maruti test mules in South.
2. The logo on the boot hatch lid doesn't suit to be a Suzuki logo
3. Maruti offering a better alloy wheel design??

This looks worse than the previous generation to me which is in line with Suzuki's broader strategy(Alto800, K10, SX4 cross). They have really taken the challenge to make ugly cars popular seriously. Keep it up.

IMO except for the Ciaz and to some extent the Brezza, all of Suzuki's cars are getting weird looking with every iteration.

Am I the only one? To me this new Swift 2017 looks Figo mated Datsun. Hyundai did wonders to i20, Maruti why oh why?

Looks more like Fiat Punto Grill. Not handsome styling in my opinion.

Isn't Baleno the competitor to Hyundai I20?
Swift and Grand I10 are in the same league right?

re: The 2018 next-gen Maruti Swift - Now Launched!

Look beyond the bumper and lights, the silhouette is very similar to the present gen Swift. It looks like a new sticker on an old bottle of wine. Still, wine gets better with time and if the BoosterJet is made available at a price point lesser than the Baleno (read more Maruti less Nexa) then it is sure to remake the magic Swift did when it was launched initially. Quick, non-sense and lots of fun to drive. We badly need more Turbo-charged cars in India. Now please don't put a CVT in it!

Personally, I don't like the front nose and a plain bonnet. Doesn't suit swift https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/image...s/Shockked.gif . The previous generation front looks better though.

This looks hideous. The front is copied from Punto and the rear looks to be a copy of Etios Liva.

The rear looks more of Datsun Go.
Anyways Suzuki have been coming with uglier next generation models year by year. They probably started this with Estilo to the earlier Zen and so on.

Another giant leap towards becoming a poor mans "Mini"; Suzuki, why can't you come up with something original- your entire line up save for swift (which is a copycat) looks ordinary. Forget the very obvious silhouette and front fascia, now they've copied the steering wheel even !

But, yea the car still looks okay I think it will continue to sell in record numbers if it retains or betters the personality of older gen.

They just can't help themselves when it comes to dishing out half baked, poor quality, and copycat products.

If the pictures are to believed then they just took a mod friendly and good looking car and turned it into a copycat.

Instead of dishing out such products why cant they concentrate on providing cutting edge safety features and technology.

re: The 2018 next-gen Maruti Swift - Now Launched!

Am I in minority that I find it really good as a package? Volkswagen polo like steering, contrast stitched seats, sporty dials, and a much more mature exterior. Maruti will now have their customers thoroughly confused with two more additional options to chose from (swift+ignis)
