Sony Ericsson P-990i

Good news is that price is not gonna hillarious like previous we see 40kfor 910,this time they launch at $650 to compete with nokia smartphones

tehy should have made teh p910 cam a better one :(

and if india is bringing video calling, then p990 is teh phone u shuld have!

Great phone... which they played around with the design abit ...made it a little more slim. WiFi is the one thing that attracts me the most to this....waiting to see what nokia has to answer to this.

nokia just launched the E-series symbian phones to compete with RIM

btw I hate that toned down screen and lack of stereo speakers on the p990

You said it. The small screen makes it look like any other phone, NOT a pda and definitely not a P-series Sony Ericsson.

can any1 say how the treo650 is??? I need a multimedia phone but camera doesnt count(a mediocre camera will do)

Treo 650 came across as an impressive package, but apparently there are far too many quality issues and problems with the unit. The battery life was phenomenal (an iMate JAM would last for just about a day on a single charge while this went on for 3 days) and the camera's quality was excellent, amongst other things. Go for it if you think you're the lucky sort who wont get hit by occassional problems.

ok. I also had a look at the alcatel ot-s853 with 2.1 sound. THe phone is due to be out soon. Just to think of how fast the technology is moving

well devarshi84 be sure before going for Alcatel as the resale value is VERY BAD...

They did, and since neither Alcatel nor Bird are known for any sort of path breaking technological innovations, I'd suggest you stay away from the brand. If it were Haier that had taken over Alcatel my opinion would've been diff.
